Subject: FW: A Tough One to Look at

  It's
been said that one picture is worth a thousand words. How many words is this one worth?
This amazing picture has drawn a lot of comments from readers of the Nashville
paper, The Tennessean. See Jay's letter below. Dear Tennessean: The Tennessean's April 5 photograph of young Christian
Golczynski accepting the American flag from Marine Lt. Col. Ric Thompson is one of the most moving and emotion provoking images
I have ever seen. My wife and I attended funeral services for Christian's father, Staff
Sergeant Marcus Golczynski, on April 4, along with our six year-old son, dozens of Marines, and several hundred others who
came to pay tribute to this fallen hero. As one would expect, many of your readers were touched
by this incredible picture. Staff Sergeant Golczynski had previously served one full tour in Iraq . Shortly before his death
on March 27 he wrote to his family that he had volunteered to do this a second time due to our deep desire to finish the job
we started. In his letter he said, "We fight and sometimes die so that our families don't have to." Tragically,
Staff Sergeant Golczynski had only two weeks remaining on his second tour. We look at the photograph of Christian every
day. It is displayed prominently in our home. Our hearts ache for Christian and for all those who have lost loved ones
in this controversial conflict. Our nation is at a historical crossroads. Do we call an end to
the struggle in Iraq or press on? Staff Sergeant Golczynski eloquently told his son how he felt about not giving up.
Perhaps there is a lesson for all of us in this man's life and the choices he made. He was undeniably a man of tremendous
courage and conviction. America must now choose whether to complete the job. When
looking at the face of Christian Golczynski I am reminded that doing what is right is not always easy and doing what is easy is
not always right. Christian's dad knew that too. James Drescher Franklin , TNTN

An open letter to President Bush
I normally don’t put my letters in the newspaper but this one is an exception and I’m asking for your help.
I am asking the readership of this newspaper to please help us to convince President George Bush to give Chris Ryan five minutes
of his time for a very important matter. Many of you know Eddie’s story if not ask me and I’ll gladly share it
with you or visit his website www.helpeddieryan.com to learn more. Please pass this plea on to as many family members and friends as you can. Chris wants five minutes of the
President’s time in order to get the US Marines that saved Eddie that night in Iraq the medals they deserve. Chris and
I just spoke about this effort this evening and I promised to email the president and ask for him. I also forwarded the letter
I wrote to some email buddies and now I’m asking for your help. Below is my letter and the Presidents email and mailing
address please if you find it in your heart email and write the president for a simple five minutes of his time. I just received
an email from a friend tonight her nephew is leaving for Iraq this Sunday and before he deploys he had to purchase his own
flak jacket. I can’t believe that he had to buy his own protective gear and that this is still going on. So maybe you
can send letters to your representatives about this too but please first just give Chris five minutes of your time and email
or write the president if enough of us do this I hope Chris can get that small five minute interview and get these Marines
their medals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart in advance to all of you who respond and God Bless all of you.

Dear
Mr. President,
I am writing for a friend of mine Sgt. Eddie Ryan United States Marine Corps and his
dad Chris Ryan who asked me to email you about a problem the family is having. Eddie was wounded April of 2005 shot twice
in the head in a friendly fire incident. Eddie has made a liar of his doctors, first they said he would not live to see the
next week then they said he would never recognize his own dog, his home, or his family. As a Christian I know you believe
in our Lord Jesus Christ well sir the Lord has more duty for Sgt. Ryan and he is on his way to a full recovery. Eddie has
told me that he would go again and I want you to know I would also go to protect my country. We have and will continue to
support you as we know the real dangers if we leave Iraq to the enemy. We are now asking you to support us by giving Chris
Ryan five minutes to ask you for your help. That's all Chris needs sir just five minutes of your time. We know you are
busy but five minutes of your time is such a small thing to ask for after Eddie and the Ryan's have given so much more.
You see Chris has gone to his own congressman Mr. Hinchey
who at first did not even contact the family after Eddie was wounded. It took a lady of courage to get Eddie the help he needed
that was Congresswoman Sue Kelly but now sir she is gone and the last thing on the new man's mind is Eddie. These things
are my words about the Congressman sir and not the Ryan families. Sir when Eddie was wounded all the Ryan family asked for
was prayer. I am proud to say and to tell you that his community has done much more.
Actually sir the five minutes Mr. Ryan is asking for is
not for Eddie it is for the US Marines that saved Eddie's life on that rooftop in Iraq. I will be sending this email to
some friends of mine in hopes that they too will email you asking for five minutes Mr. President. I will continue to support
you sir in that I believe in what you and the administration are doing. You see sir my ship the USS Nimitz was the ship sent
to free the first hostages taken by Muslim extremist and I know we can no longer turn our backs to this danger. Five minutes
Mr. President that's is all Chris Ryan and I are asking of your valuable time. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ that he intervene on our side and influence you to please give Chris Ryan five minutes.
Sir to read more about this young Marine, fellow Christian
and American Hero please take a moment to check his website out www.helpeddieryan.com I know once you see him and learn more that you will want to give Chris Ryan five minutes. Thank you sir for your time. Respectfully, Michael

Here is a link to one of my favorite radio talk show
hosts Mark Levin http://www.wabcradio.com/showdj.asp?DJID=12009 Mark is a real patriot and we love him!!
We
took this text right from Marks site call it a gift to a man who does more than talk about supporting the troops. Mark does
it!
 Mark Levin Weekdays: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM ( I personally recomend
listening to Mark and his buddy and mine Sean Hannity) Michael J. Walkerwicz, Publisher Mark Levin has become one
of the hottest properties in Talk radio, his top-rated show on WABC New York is now syndicated nationally by ABC Radio Networks.
He is also one of the top new authors in the conservative political arena. Mark’s radio show on WABC in New York City
skyrocketed to Number 1 on the AM dial in his first 18 months on the air in the competitive 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM time slot. Mark’s
book Men in Black was released February 7, 2005 and quickly climbed to Number 3 in the nation
on the New York Times Best-Seller list. When your book is endorsed by Rush Limbaugh and Sean
Hannity, you know you have a winner on your hands. In a short period of time, Mark has become one of the most listened to
local radio Talk show hosts in the nation. Mark Levin took
over the WABC 6:00 PM slot on September 2, 2003. Before that, he hosted a popular Sunday afternoon program. "He's
smart, witty, and fast on the draw," according to WABC Program Director Phil Boyce. "He has this sharp sarcastic
wit that can easily stun his opponents. I know I would not want to debate him." Mark's show follows the ever popular
Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity on WABC, but everyday he manages to come up with a new twist on the day's top news events,
as well as his own unique information. His passion and intellect have made him a favorite of tens of thousands of radio listeners
in the New York City area. Mark has been a frequent guest
and substitute host on The Sean Hannity Show, and has also been an advisor
to Limbaugh, who frequently refers to him on the air with the nickname "F. Lee Levin." He is perhaps more well-known
for his nickname, "The Great One," coined by his friend Hannity. Mark Levin is one of America's preeminent conservative commentators and constitutional lawyers. He's in great
demand as a political and legal commentator, and has appeared on hundreds of television and radio programs. Levin is also
a contributing editor for National Review Online,
and writes frequently for other publications. Levin has served as a top advisor to several members of President Ronald Reagan's
Cabinet—including as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General of the United States. In 2001, the American Conservative
Union named Levin the recipient of the prestigious Ronald Reagan Award. He currently practices law in the private sector,
heading up the prestigious Landmark Legal Foundation in Washington DC. Check out Mark's websites: www.marklevinshow.com and www.marklevinfan.com Go to the Mark Levin Message Board now by clicking HERE!
